7 Beauty Products You Will Find in My Bag…
I am a sucker for good skincare and make up products. I end up spending a chunk of my money on good products for my face and hair. I feel these are investments to make for the healthy and great skin and hair in the future. I also make sure I take my vitamins regularly and have lots of water through the day. You will always find these beauty products in my make up kit….
Foundation | Clinique Even Better Foundation
I recently discovered this one and it is perfect for my skin tone. I mean it makes my complexion look completely flawless and yet, looks and feels as if there is nothing I have put on. I hate cake foundation and this one lasts all day without giving me a cake look even in the heat of Mumbai Summers. I also love that it’s well priced and you can get it here.
Blusher | Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush
I have a thing for blushes, it is a really difficult choice to make but my friend recently gifted this to me from her trip to the UK and since then it is really one of my favourites. It has a slight iridescence to it and this would work well without using a highlighter. I also like Colourbar’s creamy blush cakes but they only work for me in the cooler season. I also love that they have a built in mirror for this blusher and can be an easy and quick option for me to carry in my bag.
Eyeshadow | Charlotte Tilbury Chameleon Pencil
I love M.A.C Pigments, I always used them since I first started wearing make up. I remember a friend gifted me a limited edition M.A.C Pigment kit in Singapore and I have been stuck to them ever since ! However, last year at a friend’s destination wedding her make up artist urged me to try pencils from Charlotte Tilbury and since then I have been only using these versatile pencils. I also love Bobbi Brown pencils and use them for highlighting the inner corner of my eyelid for an evening out.
Mascara | Maybelline Lash Sensational
I am BIG on BIG lashes. I use castor oil at night ever since I read that it helps lengthen the lash and also use Mavala Lash products. However the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara adds so much depth and seperation to my lashes and lasts all day that you will always see it in my make up kit. It is also easily available unlike Mavala and is extremely well priced.
Concealer | Rimmel Wake Me Up
A concealer is a concealer, I don’t care much about this beauty product because I layer on it and it doesn’t really matter what brand I end up using. I don’t usually use it because I have fairly clear skin but have it in the kit just in case I need to. If at all I use it for my under eyes as it brightens the skin and gives it a natural look and finish. However, I definitely use the Pore Minimiser from Benefit. Have you tried it yet ? Especially around your T Zone ? It works wonderfully and totally conceals any ugly open pores that you may have giving the skin a flawless and smooth look over all.
Lipstick | Clarins Rouge Eclat Lipstick
I am not big on lipsticks, I usually use M.A.C tinted balms and avoid the lipsticks unless it’s a party or event. I stick to pinks, oranges and reds as the dull and dark shades don’t quite work for me. However I do love Matte lipsticks and try to go for a no gloss look on most occasions. Colourbar has some fabulous ones, infact Color Bar has a decent range of beauty and make up products that you should check out !
Perfume | Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede
As you know I love Eclat by Lanvin. It is my favouritest perfume in the whole world, however off late I have been using Jo Malone for the summer. The fragrances are unique and make me feel special no matter what the time, place or mood. I also love Yellow Diamonds by Versace and Code Deco range. As long as a perfume boosts your mood you should wear it, find your own fragrance. Also please please use a deo stick especially in the summers. There is NOTHING worse than Body Odour and no matter how much perfume you wear, Indian weather requires a deo stick.
