Beauty Finds | June Lipstick Colours I Am Loving
I’m no beauty expert. Infact until recently I wore only kohl pencil and that was that. However, recently I caught on the lipstick bug (though not as bad as my cousin Ritika, she has every colour under the sun I swear, maybe I should ask her to send us her favourites since she has definitely tried them all no? ) anyways, so I have recently been wearing more lipstick than I used to and a LOT of people have been asking me about what colours I have been wearing. One of the most frequently asked question via DM on Instagram for me is ‘What lip colour are you wearing?’, so I figured it was about time to put together a post on my favourite lip colours. I use a mix set of colours and they are a mix of luxe brands like MAC and Chanel but also some very easy to buy and affordable brands like Miss Claire and Nyx. Infact, Miss Claire is a favourite and I have most colours in that brand because they are matte, long lasting and I love their pop colours. They make it SO easy to wear lip colour without feeling like that’s all anyone will notice on your face ( even though I wear them bright). They glide on and stay put. I love the range of hues and feel almost all their shades from their pinks to nudes are universally flattering on all skin tones.
They’re lightweight, creamy and go on super smooth without ever drying out your pout as well as they are matte right so I feel like they are easy carry off at work or at a party. What I love most is that the colours last very well because I am the last one to keep touching up my liptstick and yet they are easy to wipe off when need be. They don’t transfer easy so you will rarely see lipstick marks on my glass ! I can’t figure if I like bright colours more or then the nudes in NYX and Miss Claire but I don’t work well with the darker shades for sure. I sometimes mix shades to make my own. I remember my mom had this mauve purple shade that was all the rage when I was a teen and she totally rocked it. I would look like an alien if I wore those shades, I guess they don’t work with my skintone… her skin colour is lighter and paler I guess. I usually end up in bright pinks and nudes like the ones below from my ever growing range of Miss Claire shades.
This post is not sponsored (although, I wish!) but honestly, these Miss Claire and NYX lipsticks have totally transformed my approach to wearing lipstick and have helped me appreciate the variety and interest a bold lip can add to a simple look. Go on try them out !
