Book of the week - January - Week 1

Book of the week - January - Week 1

Growing up I LOVED Books and we are trying to share this love at home with Shloka, it's a wonderful way to spend time with your child, to calm them, educate them and have fun together.  At A Charmed Life we have made it our mission to bring you a curated selection of the finest books for kids, styles that not only look good on your nursery shelves, but stories that inspire little boys and girls, with vivid illustrations and wonderful narratives. Whether they're by publishers like Usborne or books by small independent authors - we have you covered.

So many of these have been read, enjoyed and requested by our own little product tester (over and over and over again). Shloka has a library of over 250 books and a lot are yet to be read but I assure you - they are all beautiful and wonderful - a way to transport yourself and your little reader into a whole new world. Every week we promise to share our current favourites with you. Shloka is 2 years old now and we like to browse images and listen to stories.

The Day The Crayons Quit

The Day The Crayons Quit

The Day The Crayons Came Home

The hilarious and International Bestseller "The Day the Crayons Quit" and the sequel "The Day The Crayons Came Home" by author Daywalt, Drew & Jeffers, Oliver are both available in our curated collection.

Poor Duncan just wants to colour in. But when he opens his box of crayons, he only finds letters, all saying the same thing: We quit! Beige is tired of playing second fiddle to Brown, Blue needs a break from colouring in all that water, while Pink just wants to be used. Green has no complaints, but Orange and Yellow are no longer speaking to each other. The battle lines have been drawn. What is Duncan to do?

We hope this series will inspire you to read more with your children, and explore the wonderful range of modern and contemporary books that we have curated for you.
